Camosun continues to monitor COVID-19
From the College Executive Team
The health and safety of students, faculty and staff at 51视频 remains our foremost priority. You are likely aware that the University of Victoria in consultation with Island Health has its exam schedule for the remainder of the December 2021 exam period, including moving in-person exams online or to another format.
Camosun is not changing its exam schedule or exam locations. The situation at UVIC is very different than Camosun in terms of COVID-19 as well as the fact that hundreds of students gather in rooms at the university to take exams.
Camosun continues to follow the advice of public health experts including guidance and orders from the Provincial Health Officer, the B.C. Government, Island Health and WorkSafeBC. Camosun has been in contact with Island Health. There is no reason for the college to make any changes to in-person exams or working on campus.
If you feel sick or need to self-isolate stay home. Do not come to campus. The college commits that students will not be negatively impacted where on-campus exams are scheduled or on-campus assignments are due. Both timelines will be adjusted to reasonably accommodate students who are sick.
Camosun has Communicable Disease Prevention Guidelines [PDF] in place to keep the college community and campus visitors safe. The guidelines support employees in daily operations. An appendix [PDF] outlines what to do if a student or an employee discloses that they have tested positive for COVID-19 or another communicable disease.
Please take care as we all work hard to keep our college community safe.
